About Us

HOLLYWOOD SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROGRAMME

In the past twelve months we have seen growth in our My Community Programme in terms of futher developing our strategy and involving our Team Members across all six regions. CSI has become an integral part of our business.

Congratulations to our 4,500 Team Members for enthusiastically ensuring the success of each of our CSI projects around the country. Over the past six years producing the Hollywoodbets Social Responsibility Programme booklet, we have seen the team embrace the spirit behind CSI.

This year has seen a pleasing increase in team volunteering. From team members who give of their personal time to coach sports teams, visit children’s homes, foster underprivileged kids or spend time with the elderly there is a big group of you doing your part.

Each region took part in Nelson Mandela day where they eagerly spent time volunteering at different organisations that needed help. We saw incredible enthusiasm from our team who participated in events like the PinkDrive race meeting in aid of breast cancer awareness, and our Hollywoodbets Dolphins’ cricket match played in honour of More Balls Than Most, the organisation dedicated to raising awareness about male cancers.

In the past year we joined forces with 101 organisation focused on uplifting their communities by giving our time and money to support their good work. When it comes to soccer development this area is constantly growing with 85 soccer teams receiving kits from our branches. On top of that we continued our support of the Tembisa Masters League and started a new relationship as sponsor of the North Durban Masters League.

Our Limpopo team hosted a soccer tournament aimed at community upliftment. The event was a great success as family-friendly fun was promoted and the winning team secured R50,000 to donate to a charity of their choice. Furthermore, we welcomed four football clubs in Limpopo and two in Gauteng to the Hollywoodbets family by donating much-needed equipment, including team kit to the clubs. The Western Cape region debuted their Hollywoodbets District Six tournament – the community loved it and each local team received their kit before the start of the soccer season.

Sports development as a whole is very important to us as a business and, because we embarked on a new journey as title sponsor of the Hollywoodbets Dolphins, we chose to invest in up-and-coming development teams in the area. During the T20 season underprivileged teams from the greater Durban area were exposed to the professional level cricket as we invited them to attend Hollywoodbets Dolphins matches and also assisted them with financial contributions to help meet their daily needs.

I encourage you all to keep up the excellent work of building relationships with our recipients in your area, and identifying worthy causes where we can devote our time and money. Together we can work towards creating positive change around our beautiful country!
